The story of ice swimming is being told at the level it has always deserved

The story of ice swimming is being told at the level it has always deserved.

SwimSwam the world's largest swimming media platform, just dedicated a full podcast to our sport.

And their co-founder, three-times Olympic medallist Mel Stewart, says “we have got to get ice swimming to the Olympics.” He says he “will push to make that happen."

The podcast features Chris Ballard senior writer at Sports Illustrated, now author of The Plunge, who spent three and a half years inside our community, competed at our World Championships in Italy, and wrote the book that the swimming world is now reading.

It’s an objective perspective of Chris award winning author and journalist about the whole cold water experience which took to ice swimming and showed him the magic of the ice.

His words:

"If you are going to get into 36 degree water and swim 200 metres, that's not performative. There's something deeper driving you there."

Every ice swimmer already knows that feeling. Now the world's biggest swimming platform is saying it too.
